Happy Spring,
Well, it looks like the weather is finally in our favor. The big snow pile behind the parsonage garage was completely gone Easter Sunday evening. No one guessed that date at our Variety Show so the $5 we collected will be added to our Noisy Offering bucket. Thank you to the 5 people who played along.
ALSO: A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED WITH EASTER SUNDAY WORSHIP. What a glorious worship service. From the beautiful garden of flowers, to the beautiful music and beautiful people. AMAZING! There is a lot of preparation that goes into that day, and we certainly rejoiced in Christ risen from the dead, Alleluia!! With A special thank you to Darcy as well, Lent and Easter are lots of work behind the scenes and Darcy makes it less stressful and seem to the world that ‘all is well’. Thank you, thank you!!
TURKEY DINNER: WE need your help. I again remind you, this is an ALL CHURCH fund raiser, so we need everyone’s help. Especially on Sunday during and after the dinner to serve and clean up. Please plan to pitch in. You received an email yesterday from the committee covering what is needed.
Education team is meeting Tuesday evening at 7pm. This is a vital meeting about Vacation Bible School. All are needed, and everyone is welcome to attend and help us with this important ministry.
May 5th Confirmation Sunday. Sydney Kienholz and Cadence Peterson will affirm their Baptism. All are welcome to the luncheon and Celebration after worship. Both families have invited all of us to party with them on the most joyous day!!
West Union hosts a Community Garden with plots available to the public for rent. Plots are 15’ x 30’ and rent is $15 for the year. The garden will be tilled and ready for planting by May 1st. Feed My Starving Children is May 16th arrive at the center at 5:30 (Chanhassen location) we will pack from 6-7:30. Children must be 5 years old to be on packing floor. Please sign up directly with Bev Olson or on the sign-up sheet by the bulletin board in the Narthex.
