E-Blast

One week! One week until Christmas. I pray you are all done with your shopping and decorating and can relax and enjoy the wonder of the season.

Couple things:

  • Again, thank you to ALL who were involved in the Christmas program this Sunday. What an amazing story!
  • The Manger in the sanctuary needs to come down before Wednesday evening. The choir needs to have the same space to rehearse for this coming Sunday’s worship.
  • Worship is at 9am Sunday. Lessons and Carols. The choir has been working very hard to lead us in this special worship.
  • Christmas Eve services are Monday @ 4 & 9 pm. We are still looking for a reading and ushers for the 9pm worship. (4 o’clock is covered).

Upcoming:

Dec 30th worship with Holy Communion @ 9am

January 6th is Epiphany Sunday. We will have worship, as usual and then gather at 3pm for the tradition of Burning of the Greens as we celebrate the Light of Christ coming into the world and burn the trees and wreaths and such from the Christmas season. We will gather at the fire and then come inside for hot chocolate and treats, (those you bring as well to share the remaining cookies and bars from the season) . There will be a short litany outside as we usher in the Light!

One week! Merry Christmas

Pastor Grace

P.S. E-Blast 2.0

Because I sent the e-blast early this week….I need to reminder you a couple other things:

A HUGE THANK YOU! To all who supported our Youth at the Bake Sale on Sunday. You help them raise $550 towards their Mission Trip this coming summer. Thank You!

Tonight is the meal delivery through the NYA food shelf. If you are able to help please get in touch with Jennifer Wulf for details.

-This Sunday is the last day to sign up for the Women of Faith’s outing to see The Church Basement Ladies: You smell barn? Musical on January 20th. The show starts at 2pm. We will meet at church, carpool and go to dinner afterwards. Tickets will be discounted if we have at least 12 people going. What a fun afternoon. Sign up in the Narthex on Sunday morning!

Thursday @ 7pm the Fellowship committee is meeting at church. Still looking for ushers at the 9pm service on Christmas Eve.

We still need ushers for Christmas Eve 9pm worship. It is key that we have 2 people and so far we have none! Please reach out to us if you are able to help.

Okay, I think I have it now….. Probably not, but that is the gift of email. I can send another.

God’s blessing to you all this day and each new day!!

Pastor
