Hello Church,
Darcy and I were busy this morning so I'm a bit late with the E-blast. So sorry. Lots happening around West Union Lutheran these days. Here are a few, please read through. Darcy and I will NOT be in the office this Friday. If you have announcements to get in Sunday's bulletin please get them to Darcy by noon Thursday.
Sunday: 9am worship with a special blessing for the donations going to the Women's shelter we have collected this summer.
Tuesday 28th Mission and Outreach team meeting at church 7pm.
September 5th thru 10th I am on vacation. For pastoral emergencies please call Darcy, she will reach out to the pastor on call for me.
Sept 9th is God's Work, Our Hands Sunday. 9am worship (wear your t-shirts if you got em) We will gather for worship and then pack up treats and flyers to deliver them to community. More details will come in the next week.
RALLY SUNDAY: Sept 16th. Magic Norm is back with us to help kick off our Sunday School year. You will find a registration form attached to this email. You can fill it out and send it back to me or the office, drop in off, or mail it in. Please return as soon as possible.
Camp scholarships: If your child went to church camp this summer there is scholarship money available thru the education committee, please fill out the Camp Scholarship attachment and get it back to the office. LAST DAY TO APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP IS SEPT 16.2018

The committee is busy getting things going. It's going to be a great day, and we need everyone to participate. We will have posters/prize drawing tickets/post cards available soon for you to help generate excitement and money to help us reach our budget.
7th & 8th grade confirmation dates for Fall: Sept 30th 6-8pm. Oct 21st 6-8pm, Dec 9th 4:30-6:30. All Students will be a part of the Christmas program on Dec 16th during morning worship. Rehearsals will begin in early Nov. Please plan to have your students in the program this year.
9th grade confirmation will be the following Wednesdays: Sept 12th, 19th, 26th, Oct 3rd, 10th and 17th. They will then wrap up writing their Faith Statements and meet with me before Confirmation (TBD)
