September 11 2019

We are now fully into our Fall schedules now and calendars are filling up, I’m sure.

I want to highlight a few upcoming events. But first, THANK YOU to EVERYONE who helped with the God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday. We assembled 100 emergency care packages for people experiencing homelessness. Wow! Great job. There are kits under the small table in the narthex for you to take with you, keep in your car and then give away when you come across someone in need. I have already received word that one person has handed out 5 kits already and that was Monday evening, so it may be more by now. We will keep the bin stocked until all are out in the world.

Thanksgiving Meals for Love Inc. Please see attached letter. This Sunday, September 15th we start with Canned Vegetables.

New Country Market news—For all Country Market questions and concerns you should reach out to Heidi Schmidt; the chairperson of that committee. When you turn in the stubs you have collected, they MUST be given to Darcy and only stubs that are accompanied by money will be accepted.

Quilt: Joy has made a lovely quilt for us to give away as well. Tickets for that are $4/ticket or $10/3 tickets

Craft items: You may start bringing them to church this Sunday, there will be a sign in sheet in the youth room, Please sign in your crafts, this year we are asking YOU to give us the price you wish to see on the item. There will be a place on sign in sheet for that.

We also will need you to crank up those ovens for our Bake Sale. I have been told by extraordinary bakers that you can freeze stuff and they will thaw beautifully for our big day.

Food donations: This Sunday the Library window will have post-it notes for items we need donated for the chili lunch we will be selling. Please take the post-it and bring back the item.
