Hello Everyone,

Thank you all for a wonderful Sunday of worship and fellowship. Blessings our Farmers is one of my favorite days. I am truly blessed by blessing all of you!!

The busy month continues here at West Union. This week, depending the winter storm, there is worship at noon & 7pm tomorrow at East Union. Choir practice at 5:15 @ WULC

Friday evening the Confirmation class finishes up their year of studies. We start at 6pm at the parsonage. We will go through the last 2 chapters of our Manna & Mercy book, eat dinner together and review the year. Pizza is on the menu.

Sunday is Palm Sunday- Pancake Breakfast will be served from 8-9am, 10-12. Worship at 9am. We will begin our service outside so if it is chilly you’ll need your coat. We have a wonderful worship planned, so be sure to come and be a part of it.

SPRING CLEAN-UP is April 20th starting @ 9am.

HOLY WEEK: Maundy Thursday worship @ West Union w/ communion at noon and 7pm. NO MEAL served. Good Friday worship @ East Union 7pm only. It is the live reading of the Passion.

Easter Sunday worship at 9am. With all the pomp and regalia.

April 28th is the Polka service and Turkey Dinner fundraiser. I had edited this from past emails. Please read thru.

DONATIONS Needed: There are still a few things that we have post it notes for: bags of herb seasoned cubed stuffing mix, chicken stock, pies (store bought or homemade) Jimmy’s coleslaw dressing, russet potatoes. Remember donating these items keeps the costs down and our fundraiser dollars increase. You can start bringing the nonperishables to the church kitchen now. If you would rather donate money so we can purchase items like celery, onions, cream cheese, and dinner rolls, you may give a check to church and earmark it for Turkey Dinner food.

ALSO: items for silent auction and gift baskets. PLEASE START BRINGING THESE ITEMS TO CHURCH> LEAVING THEM IN THE OFFICE> We would like several auction items (per usual bidding) and baskets to sell tickets (like we did last year. $1 gets you 1 ticket and you place it in the bucket by that basket, at the end we pull one name out as the winner). We made $400 on 6 baskets last year. We will also have a quilt that will be $5 a chance. Those tickets and a picture of quilt will come out in April. The QUILT is ready and will be on display Sunday. Tickets for a chance to win this king-size quilt are $5/each. Tickets will be available starting Sunday. Advanced dinner tickets are also available for $10/each. They will be $12 at the door.

May 5th Confirmation Sunday with meal following worship. Provided by the Nobilis and Kleinholtz/Seevers Family for Cadence and Sydney’s Affirmation of Baptism.

Peace,

Pastor Grace
