Another snow day. Unenthusiastically – YAY?
No bible study today. We will gather for our chapter on Buddhism on Sunday after worship. (however, there is another snow storm coming Saturday night into Sunday, so DO NOT DRIVE IF IT’S NOT SAFE!) We will send out an email if we cancel worship, put it on Facebook and our website westunionlutheran.org
Prayers for all our farmers and essential workforce that must go out in this weather.
Tomorrow (Thurs) at noon I will be streaming a webinar on Legal Checklist for Churches, if you are looking for an excuse to get out of the house, come on up to my office for what is sure to be a yawner, yet more fun with more folks!
Council- watch the weather for the Synod Toolkit event on Saturday. We will not risk our lives to make it even if they don’t cancel.
Bowling on Sunday is at 4pm so we pray that by then we can make it to Belle Plaine to bowl! Again, watch your email, Facebook and website for updates.
Next Sunday, March 3rd is our Mardi Gras – Variety show, we have several folks signed up, so you won’t be the only one sharing your “talent”. We have a couple people signed up from East Union as well, so game on to see who can win “more variety”!! The event is 3-5pm, with appetizers as our potluck!! If you come to share your variety/talent or come to be part of the party, We Will Mardi Gras!! There will be a photo booth, beads, food and more!! Dress up and Come out to celebrate the end of Epiphany and beginning of Lent.
Ash Wednesday, Pastor Sarah and I will be offering prayer and ashes from 7-9am in the circle drive at East Union, then at noon and 7pm we will gather for worship @ West Union. Lunch after noon worship and Dinner @ 6pm before evening worship. Come join in our Lenten journey We are one in the Body of Christ!
Lastly, for today, THANK YOU to all who stepped up and helped me out on Sunday, it was a rough day but I am feeling much, much better now!!
