Hello from Green Lake Bible Camp,

It is amazing to be here with these kids, leaders and staff. Not unlike our own experience at VBS, the kids are growing in faith and having fun learning in news ways about God’s love for us, as they dive into scripture and wrestle with the parables Jesus used to teach us how to love God and our neighbor. The mosquitoes are HUGE and we had to save one youth from being carried off by a swarm of them at campfire Monday night. She is safely back on the ground!

Coming up this week:

Craft making gathering is tonight at 6pm. If you can’t make it right on time, it’s okay. Come and go as you can. There were some great looking projects in the Fellowship Hall from last week’s gathering. Come, be inspired and/or share your inspirations.

Sunday: Worship @ 9 ~We will also be Blessing and Sending the Youth Mission Trip group that leaves for Denver next Wednesday.

Council meets immediately after worship. Remember to bring your calendar for Fall so we can find a good time to do our work that fits people’s schedule. Also, it would be great to reach out to your committees and get dates for meeting in August. Education is meeting 13th @ 6:30pm

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED. We still need teachers for the older group of elementary age kids. We can’t do this without teachers. Please reach out to Carol and/or Amy if you are stirred into even exploring the possibility of teaching. We will help you be ready.

THANK YOU: I again want to say thank you to you all for your love and support, especially these past couple weeks, as I said good-bye to my dad. It still seems surreal that he died. Thank you for the heart hugs, the physical hugs and the love through prayers. You are a blessing.

COMING UP:

Blessing of Backpacks August 25th during worship

Kick-off Sunday (God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday too) September 8th.

Country Market and Craft Sale September 28th ALL hands on deck.

That’s it for now. Time to make my way up the hill for morning devotions and breakfast. Enjoy your week, remember to look for God sighting in your day.

Peace,

Pastor Grace.
