Another amazing worship this past Sunday. Congratulations to Sydney and Cadence on your confirmation and to the families for a wonderful meal and party!!
This coming Sunday we will celebrate a Baptism and Mother’s Day. We will serve pie and coffee for fellowship hour. Bring your mom to church! A representative from Lutheran Social Services is going to be here to share a Thank You for the gifts we give to that non-profit, as well.
Thank you to the CHOIR for another year of wonderful music and leadership. Last Sunday was the end of the choir year and I was going to recognize you all during worship, but I got distracted. AND to Wanda for your leadership keeping this rag-tag army of singers going and sounding good!!
NEWS OF THE WEEK:
Country Market committee met on Monday evening. Watch for announcements in bulletins and how you can help make this as big, it not bigger, success as last year’s Market. Get your creative hats on and start crafting, canning or planting!
Council planning meeting tonight at 7pm. Council meeting May 19th immediately following worship.
Next Thursday is Feed My Starving Children night. Be at the Chanhassen distribution/packing facility at 5:30. Also remember they ask for donations to help defray the cost of food.
I leave for Germany on May 19th, after worship, and will be back for worship on Sunday, June 9th. That is Pentecost Sunday so wear your red!! Following my trip on Facebook! I will post to West Union’s page as well as my own. If you have a pastoral emergency, Pastor Sarah Bunge is on call for me. Darcy will know how to get in touch with her.
